We had some issues as the servers were under heavy load. One of the servers
processed much (~twice) more messages than the others. If I remember it
right, then it is due to the round robin mechanism that the slowest server
gets as much more work as there are servers. At least if the slowest server
is not able to accomplish its work load in one round.
We were able to reduce the load significantly, so this is no actual issue. But
we like to avoid known problems in the future.

May I asked how the setup of loadbalancing with PF looks like? Is it just a
OpenBSD server in front of the mailservers?

Greetings
Stefan
