Please don't top post. If you don't know what that means, Google for it.

Simply because a portion of your client base uses a depreciated method
is not in itself a valid reason to continue to support it. Getting them
switched over to a more secure method is not as hard as you seem to
think it might be. In any event, you might well end up supporting two
different authorization methods which I would personally find less then
desirable.
