You won't hear about it, because that person will be blocked from sending you mail.
In addition, the person being blocked will have no idea why they were blocked, because they were completely not involved in the issue that got them blocked in the first place.
You said it yourself: it's for little gain, at the cost of significant inconvenience to others.
