I had looked at this - but I can't use the CD player plugin AFAIK. It is only for built in CD. My Cd player is an external arcam one connected to the line in on the whs MB. Also the tranquil whs server is a small footprint device without optical drive. The network is wired - all 100M on a fast switch apart from an SB1(10M) and a HP printer (10M) and tested OK for speed using fping. I stream flac to every other player (apart from an old SB1 which is mp3) and have had no other problems with stuttering or missing data. I thought it may be a performance issue with the sound card in the whs server - which is a pretty lowly celeron based MB with onboard sound. The server is configured to give optimum performance for services rather than apps. It runs SC, orb and musicip all as services.
