Lots of points.
In 6.5 AlienStreams and some of m3u support was within AlienBBC. The "import" facility is now part of SC7 and so any bugs are part of SC7 and need to reported as such. I think the Alienstream feature in AlienBBC was implemented to provide support for hierarchical lists of URLs as this feature was not present in SS. The enhanced Favorites with Import meant that Alienstreams was effectively redundant and could be removed from AlienBBC. Regaring the test - in your example with the file:// it may be a typo but your example should have had 3 slashes if your are providing the full path as in file:///Users/danco/Friday Play.m3u There seems to be a problem with file handling but this is common SC7 and so it reported as a bug. > > But the instructions need updating. I was expecting that my previous > AlienStream folder would still work, and needed to ask advice to learn > that one needed to import in Favorites, and that there can be the issue > I have just mentioned with the importing. > I think it is a case of Alienstreams falling into a gap. Import is now part of SC and not solely related to AlienBBC and updated user info on SC7 does not appear to be ready yet. > > I notice, too, that the FAQs have not been changed foe eighteen months. > In particular, "How can I add a radio stream to AlienBBC" is now > outdated. > To keep info more current and it is easier to update than the AlienBBC web site, I am going to add info to the AlienBBC wiki entry. Current thoughts include 1. Installation and Trouble shooting. 2. Common problems 3. How to do addons and some example. I think there is a need to advise user how to add categories etc to favorites as there have a been a few thread on it. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44128 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
