I have just had a lot of trouble importing .m3u files. I seem to have solved it now, and it appears to be a bug/limitation in the import process.
My .m3u files are in subfolders of the AlienStream folder, sometimes two subfolders deep. I attempted to import one, and kept getting a message saying that there was an error importing. I then copied the .m3u file to the top level of my home directory and it imported fine.
