I have a headless Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 installed in the house. I occasionally reboot it remotely (sudo reboot) just to be sure everything is fine. Weird thing is it sometimes boots properly and I can ssh into it, and sometimes it just shows a black screen with a blinking cursor upon boot (I find this out after around 2 hours).
Any tips on where I should begin looking (what files should I examine) to find out the root of the problem?
