Most of the ATMs I see are based on OS/2 I think.  An ATM made by IBM
is most likely to be. Diebold (yes, the same, but they spun off their
voting machine business some years ago) makes ATMs based on Windows.
What major ATM manufacturer uses a proprietary Unix? I imagine a
proprietary Unix-based one would be rather more expensive than either
Windows or OS/2.
