Orly,

Globe/Innove's DSL in Tacloban (the place where I came from) is very
good. Here in Manila, I got Globe's broadband for 999 a month (768kbps
+ landline) but the service isn't the same. They have contractors who
barely know how to troubleshoot the problem. I understand that this is
or might be an isolated case. So my advice is, before you let the guys
go and accept the circuit, check your circuits SNR. You know the
normal SNR 20dB, but 10dB is good enough. I have an SNR of 6 or 6.5,
so every now and then, my modem goes bezerk, resync-ing every 2 mins
most of the time.

Also take note that, since Globe's contractors barely know how to
configure the circuit, they don't block access to WAN administration
to your modem/router, the worst part, they leave the username/password
to the default.

If all is well, SNR is good, you shouldn't be having problems with a
Globe broadband.

Cheers!
