Hello Doc, Is this that first time you are wget-ing a DVD? Maybe the size of the DVD is killing your laptop, it's highly unlikely but its a possibility. Try wget-ing other smaller files from the same mirror, or a different file from another server.
In a related note, is there anyone here in metro manila using Globe DSL? I have problems with my DSL and I can't get anyone from Globe to fix my problem, I know the drill, call the hotline, believe me i've done all that and noone seem to be able to fix the problem. I have a very low SNR about 6 or 6.5. My connection drops every 2 mins specially during the nite. Anyone here working for Globe/Innove? :) Thanks On 6/2/07, Pablo Manalastas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Whenever I wget the Fedora 7 DVD from the following site, or from the > Georgia Tech site, or from Mirrors.kernel.org, or from fr2.rpmfind.net: > > http://ftp.iij.ad.jp/pub/linux/fedora/releases/7/Fedora/i386/iso/F-7-i386-DVD.iso > > my laptop HANGS!
