I've read it to your delight, but still i think this is off-topic. This is a Linux Technical Discussion list and not a security neither a network forum. And after due scrutiny of your query,  i don't see even a pinch of Linux or any of its known components on your query (besides you mentioning NIS). jon John Galt wrote: No offense but read thoroughly at the bottom. I would also like to get inputs from real Linux Network Professionals / Linux Security experts as well. If he wants his PC secured within a corporate local network, then he should have just remove the network cable and be physically not connected.   What do you think, guys?
