Thank you for your replies, but I have decided not to.

The pixel is only one, and running flashing colours overnight did almost
fix it(it is still visible, but I have to search for it on black
background).

The reason why I am afraid to begin returns process with them is that in
three weeks I will be out of country for two weeks. And as it is stated at
LaptopsDirect site, I should contact Manufacturer(ACER) directly, not
laptopsdirect).
