Can anyone tell me why my computer keeps coming up with the message, 'Network Cable Unplugged'? I have a workstation/desktop which has 2 HDDs. One with Ubuntu 10 & another with XP Pro. I plug in whichever one I feel like using. They both show the same error. I have searched the Internet & tried all the suggested fixes without success. No one seems to know what causes the problem. No one seems to be able to fix the problem. There are 2 network cards in this machine. The error appears on both. The only solution I have arrived at is leaving it alone, switched on, and it eventually comes back on of it's own accord. There is nothing wrong with the cable.
