Just a quick extra thank you for all your help with my network here at home.
BT have sorted the broadband and it's now a reliable 5.5Mbits - as good as it
gets in the rurals. And the network switch and Edimax wireless repeater both
work fine. I couldn't have done it without you.

A couple of questions. I had a Netgear wireless extender which worked perfectly
except that I had to switch it off and on again every time I wanted to access
the Internet in iPad or iPhone. I never discovered why. I had decided to get a
second Edimax but, whilst in the Apple Store in London, I bought an Airport
Express and that works well.

The Airport automatically extends the BT wifi on the same name whilst the
Edimax wifi is called Edimax. The only reaming snag is that the mobile devices
stay connected to One or the other when I. Move through the house until the
signal is unusable (but still there). I have to tell it the join the stronger
wifi. I suspect this is just one of those things - although would two Airports
Expresses work together seamlessly?

Anyway, thanks again and see you all at the next meeting.

Brian
