could be - is it printer agnostic ? it's a low end samsung laser I suspect the PC does a fair bit of the work. thanks for the offer, I'll look up the printer and if you could tell me the device type I'll research that too. I'm still interested in the original question of sharing a printer between two networked linux machines.
