To avoid re-inventing the wheel......
What's the quickest / simplest / best way to share a parallel connected laser printer on a Ubuntu desktop machine with another desktop on the same LAN ? I've managed to use Ubuntu desktop for over a week with the sole exception that it (and Windows 7) won't work my Canon MPC600F printer. There's a samsung laser upstairs on another machine that could resolve the need to flip back into XP to print. I don't at this stage need windows access to the shared printer, but if it makes sense to do it with SAMBA etc I could go that way.
