Millipedes are scavengers. Centipedes are predaceous. Neither are likely to pose a concern, but the presence of either kind may indicate that there are opportunities to better seal the building envelope to ward off more concerning beasts.

Yoshiko, Most often, millipedes invade a building via gaps beneath exterior doors or around windows or non-sealed utility penetrations. They may also thrive indoors in basements or other sites where is it humid and cool, such as within or around sumps, floor drains that lead to dry wells or the soil, and in overly watered plant pots.
