Hi Lacey,

We use the Raid Max Mess Free Dry Fogger. This is the style where you put a
small amount of water in the cup and them set the cannister in it to activate
the fog. We have used it in a taxidermy display that had a moth problem and did
not notice any residue. I can provide more information if you’d like to contact
me directly.

Thanks,
Sabrina

Hello,

Thank you all for the information! Unfortunately, I have looked into all
alternative treatments extensively and due to various constraints, fumigation
is the only option. We do employ alternatives such as freezing when possible,
but sometimes we do have to resort to fumigation. Currently, we are using PT
565 Plus XLO Aerosol Insecticide.

Hey all,

On this note, does anyone have any comments on sulfuryl fluoride, and any
potential effects on objects being fumigated?

Thanks!

Tonya

Hi Lacey

Have you looked into CO2? Can you move the items into a chamber for treatment?
Are you currently using sulfuryl fluoride?

Hello,

Does anyone have any fumigation recommendations? We have a large open-air
taxidermy exhibit that has problems despite using preventative measures, so we
unfortunately have to resort to fumigation on occasion. We are looking into
changing our current fumigant for various reasons, so I was curious if anyone
had any non-residual and non-oil-based aerosolized fumigation recommendations.
