Hi Joel and Ayesha You have to be careful with drums – the hide can split given the differences between materials – the hide head and whatever material the body is made of. You should be ok if you do the standard double wrapping of plastic to reduce fluctuating RH. You can also add some sorbent material (tissue, cotton etc?) to help with this. Also – never put it through a double freeze – it is better to put it through a single freeze for longer. (2 freezes are not recommended for most if any materials).

So far, I haven’t seen any harm done to the objects. I haven’t been repeating any freezing cycles though.
