Joel, that sounds good, if the product have an ethylene glycol component to carrier the product into the cells of the wood. So it could reach the larvae better than with only water.

In general boric acid based products are some of the safest you can use. Bora-care does have an ethylene glycol component to it which acts as a carrier to take the product into the cells of the wood. Not sure of ratio... maybe the SDS would help. Once it is dry I can't imagine it harming anyone or anything except wood destroying insects chewing their way out or in. Do not click links, open attachments or take action unless you know the contents are safe] Does anyone have experience using Bora-Care to treat wood infested with powderpost beetles? It has been brought up as a suggestion and I have never used it, nor know anyone who has. Is it effective? Safe? Would appreciate any advice.
