As far as Perl being an offspring of Unix I think that's great if it is in meant **in spirit**. But any opportunity for Perl6 can make things more understandable to the average programmer vs. the average Unix user should be taken advantage of. The "unlink()" example is a good one. Now that Perl is thriving on Mac and Win this sort of Unix-speak seems out-of-place. In spite of where Perl came from I don't think we should feel like we can't grow the language into something easier. --Michael
