Jako is very close to the basic capabilities of pasm, but with a
syntax more like C or Perl. As more Parrot capabilities are enabled in
the interpreter, Jako will add simple language support for them without
much fluff. You may like to play with it.

I'd still like to have a good macro assembler underlying things.
