The earliest one in my records appears to be 13 August, 1999 and the text refers to "a couple weeks ago" - so Jul 29, 1999 may indeed be the earliest. I had worked on a conversion project in Clinton, WI before that which used perl to parse MAKRBRKR output but I don't thing any of that was incorporated into MARC.pm itself. But some of the included examples implemented similar tasks via MARC.pm. It looks like I also have a lot of developer-developer correspondence that did not go to the full list. I don't know if you woiuld want any of that. And there is an interesting discussion with the CPAN maintainers since this was the first module submitted by a mailing list rather than by an individual. It appears version 0.81 was the first CPAN upload. You can also find downloadable files of the earliest> > versions of MARC.pm available there via archived CPAN links. My recollection is that I tarred up chunks of the disk and dumped it to CDs so I could reclaim some of the disk for another project. I've probably got the CDs somewhere (in an unopened box with several hundred others that has not been opened since 2002 when I moved. I used to be self-employed so I had lots of "retain for 7 years in case the IRS asks" records (they never did - so I didn't sort the contents of the box). -bill ************** AOL Search: Your one stop for directions, recipes and all other Holiday needs.
