54 years in my low rent lovely apartment in a great neighborhood ..
thanks to a landlord who is not trying to push me out of my rent
controlled walk-up and
the laws protecting me from same if he were to try. Hoping no assholes
charge their motorbike lithium ion battries in the vicinity and the gas
mains and water pipes on my block stay funcitoning. But the agony of
moving at an advanced age especially is not just the physical awfulness
and thr brain drain if you have lived somewhere a long time but that it
is home filled with wonderful memories, the ease of getting around in a
place you know the neighbors who are your friends. Easier if you are
half of a long standing happy
couple, but not by much.
At 21 I couldn't wait to get away from home - it was an adventure - By
the time my ex , Bob Sanfedele, and I moved
in here I had moved 10 times.. and there were 4 moves with my parents
before that..
John, I hope the new place will be welcoming and you and your furry four
legged buddy will settle in . Looking forward to photos..
