Hmm. A $90 app that requires a multi-thousand dollar investment in higher performance computing equipment isn't really my idea of a good deal. ;) My raw image library has been stored on fast, locally-connected USB3 (since USB3 came out) spinning and SSD media. And I have the top of the line 6-core Intel-i7 3.2Ghz Mac mini with 64G RAM and a 2T SSD internal drive where the app resides. It never got near to overheating; ON1 simply never finished chattering back and forth from storage to RAM. Anyway, I continue to be glad it's working well for you.
