This appears to be a finch, and I shot it with the D FA 150-450 and the A2X S 
converter. Like the other pic I posted it’s f8, 1/320th and about ISO 28,00

For this one I put on the DA 1.4 AF converter and slowed the shutter speed down 
to 1/80th, I was able to get the ISO down to about 1500. (The bird, a Junko, 
was also in better light.)

The much slower shutter speed works fine if the bird down’t move, but if he 
takes off I’ll lose what might be a good shot.

Tons of fun in the backyard.I shot the pics sitting in a lawn chair with the 
camera on a tripod. I think sitting s a plus because it minimizes my size.
