I use Time Machine as my "local" backup on all my Macs, but I also push up all of the important data to a cloud backup service (I use CrashPlan - local company). "Belt and suspenders". So far, whenever I've needed a backup (such as: I'm at work and want a copy of a file that is on my home machine), I've been able to successfully restore to my laptop (Crashplan lets you restore to any of your machines using the backup from any of the machines as a source). That's (so far) been a good test and confirmation that I can get my data back when I need it. -Charles -- Charles Robinson - [email protected] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org http://www.facebook.com/charles.robinson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
