OK, just to the right of TTL is AUTO, which has two modes,
red is high output, green is low output, both are non-TTL,
but flash is controlled by the built-in sensor.
 Then you have MS High and Low, which is non-TTL high
output and low output.
 Then you have M. This setting gives full power only.
 The FINDER/A.Check is still fuzzy with me, so I`m getting
out the manual, it says:
Automatic Exposure Check:
Another advantage of the AF280T is that you can make sure
your subject is within the flash units automatic exposure control 
range by pressing the "Test" button before actually making the 
exposure. If the subject is within the auto operating range and
proper exposure is possible, the auto check lamp (A.CHECK)
of the flash unit will light after the exposure. If the lamp does
not light, use a more powerful flash setting or move closer
to the subject.

It`s a nice flash! Now put it on TTL with the Super P and
