Yes, the Blue Mountains is dominated by Eucs and the volatile oil in
the foliage burns easily and ferociously.
We're on the plains on the eastern side of the mountains and are less
at risk but we still have stands of eucs and grassland so we'll be on
alert.

Yes, we're home. We only evacuated for three or four hours on
Thursday evening. We're not going to hang around if things
deteriorate over the next few days. A house can be rebuilt. That
said, there are lots of people more at risk than us and there is a
large lake nearby than can be used by water bombing helicopters.
