I think we've all become so marketing hyped and hypersensitive to noise that
everything people point to as the classic perfect modern image looks like
buffed and polished plastic to me. Which is why I'm stressing film, pushing
sensors to ridiculous levels with toy and glassless lenses on digital, etc etc,
to achieve something that is not buffed and polished plastic in my renderings.
Something that looks real, dammit.
