I've not bought one yet, but I've used one and assisted at a friend's presentation about it for my workshop group.
The ability to refocus afterwards is one of the least interesting parts of the Lytro technology. Other capabilities of this first product of true "computational photography" are much more interesting, such as the ability to manipulate depth of field at wide apertures, focus on two different planes simultaneously, etc. Far as I'm aware, this first version of the Lytro camera and software have sold reasonably well, and there's a lot more to come both for the existing cameras (in way of firmware and software upgrades) and another model of the camera to come. Right now it's a bit of a curiosity as it is truly a new type of camera with a different visual look and capability set to existing still cameras. One of the current challenges to Lytro technology is presentation of the images it captures ... how to show the photos is a non-trivial endeavor as they are NOT simply the analogue of flat, still images.
