The noise bothers me. ISO3200 on the *istD might be pushing the

Thanks, Brian
but for me the fan is an important part of it -
It would be nice to have a camera that is less noisy at 3200
but that aint gonna happen in my world.

I guess I was wondering why you needed 3200. I think the shutter speed
was 1/1000 sec according to the exif.
On the *ist D, the default ISO range is 200-1600 and 3200 has to be set
as a custom function, so it seems that even Pentax wasn't too keen about
using the camera at 3200.
(I've just picked up an *ist D myself from a list member (G'day Mark..)
so I'm learning as I go here).
Cheers
Brian
Oh I see! The room was very dark to me - not sure if I set it at 3200
just then, or if I even did it intentionally - or if I thought it would
be a test of it. Don't remember - just like the look of the place and
I wasn't able to dawdle at all - I doubt I even chimped the shot. I
just liked it when I got home.
The thing about the istd is you can't stay in shooting mode and change
the ISO... I've missed lots of shots having changed the ISO and
forgetting to switch the dial back to AV and tired to take a photo.
It's very annoying.
