okay, if you'll buy a bare IDE DVD-RW, i'll exchange it to you for one of the well-functioning CD-RW that are in Firewire cases in front of me; a DVD-R would be fine too (i rarely burn DVDs); just run the brand and model by my first on the off-chance it's not compatible with my system
