Rob,
    I have so far used the GF PrintPro trial (it is perfectly
    functional, but limited by a counter of 10 pictures only. Easily
    reversible, but that is not on topic... I don't want to advocate
    such things). I have used it only on two pictures from my 1.4MP
    digicam to produce A4 (20x30cm) portraits on photographic paper
    (through a Noritsu digilab). While from close viewing distance it
    is visible that it's a digital image, it looks *quite* a lot better
    than normally interpolated image. I have found out that it works
    best with nature or city images (where there is enough small
    detail). I think it's really worth trying the trial version and
    printing the results along with normally uninterpolated image for
    comparison. I found out that by careful unsharp masking of
    SELECTED parts of the GF interpolated image, I could get even
    better results (for some types of photographs only)
