Marnie,
Thank you. That is interesting. I haven't done much Black and White
since I put film in the closet. Take a look at the stairs in my Wedding
set on Flickr.

Is that the sort of picture you would touch?
PS, I was mousing around in the freezer yesterday and I still have about
6 rolls of Kodachrome....ooops Mailers too. I think the mailers are
good firestarters.

Speaking of Steamhammers...and piledrivers, I am still using PSE3. I am
limited to adobe Camera Raw 3.6 (which I have installed)by PSE3. I have
not seen any picture processing tools in any of the subsequent PSE or
Camera Raw releases that warrant their purchase. It appears that the
subsequent Camera Raw releases have added newer cameras, but I can't
tell if any features or improvements have been added there and 3.6 opens
the .pef file anyway. Has anybody upgraded to a newer PSE version for a
tool or improvement?
My practice is to preserve the .PEF file and pass any corrections to PSE
which I save as .tif files or .jpg if I am putting them on the web.
Comments and suggestions are not only welcomed but solicited.
Cheers...It's April

I upgraded to PSE5 for highlight/shadows. Brings up detail in shadows and I
use it all the time (Paul had mentioned it once -- years ago -- in the
lastest verison of PS, so I got curious). I also found they improved RAW conversion
and have a nice little module for B&W conversion.
Well worth an upgrade.
