K10D jpegs will be somewhat flat if you haven't turned up contrast, sharpness 
and saturation in the menu settings. It's just the way the camera is 
calibrated. I have to shoot jpegs for my real estate VT panoramas. I believe 
I'm up two notches on all of those settings on my K20D (I'll have a look to 
make sure later today), and the results are nice and in the normal range.
