You also need to make sure your drives support it, though if you're using it as a NAS I'm sure you've bought some fairly new/big disks for it. > You could also get the $12 controller card, but that will complicate > things as far as the boot process and OS drivers are concerned. This is your FreeNAS box, right? I'd get the $12 controller and move the drives to that if Mat's solution doesn't help things.
