Godfrey, my reasoning seems to fall in line with yours. Since currently
both my daughter's camera and my camera work and since I am in no
particular hurry just yet, I can wait until, for example, new Olympus
camera:
1. Is reviewed and I can see sample pictures both of the camera and the
lens.
2. LightRoom supports it properly and natively.
3. It is sold in Israel with proper warranty coverage.
Nonetheless, I do want to have a smaller and lighter camera body than
that of K10D. Or if Pentax comes up with full frame camera, which at the
moment seems quite unlikely, then I should have another option to consider.

K-mount lenses (as well as Nikkors, Olympus OM, Leica R, etc) fitted to
a mount adapter focus very easily and quickly on the Panasonic L1's Live

Panasonic G1, or any Olympus micro43 camera, and you'll have an even
greater range of mount adaptation due to the shorter micro43 mount
register.
My understanding from various interviews and marketing discussions that
have been posted is that Olympus is going to focus primarily on compact
interchangeable lens cameras with micro43, most likely without EVF, just
the LCD and perhaps clip on optical viewfinders. Panasonic is going to
push harder with micro43 ... EVF bodies, more video options, etc.
I see that Amazon is now listing the Panasonic G1 with "usually ships in
1-2 months" noted for the USA. I expect it to be in lotsa people's hands
within four weeks.
