I have not used mine in really bad weather, but its been up to GFM twice, in the rain and fog and humidity, camp fire songs and drinks (well a coleman lantern passes as a fire pit up there.:-))and came back in good shape.
Its a good lens Christine. I'd give it serious thought, even if its not sealed.
