I realize that, but when the pro person mentioned that the D3's sensor would handle both, I didn't question it. Maybe in inflates when it detects a full frame lens being mounted. Just kidding! I just finished an email to him and he doesn't usually take long answering. I'll pass along any comments thought worthy. D3x, didn't come up.
