Yeah  - remember the lens doesn't rotate - so you don't have to adjust 
the polarizer every time you re focus
as long as your point of view is the same and the light doesn't change. 
 I'm embarrassed to tell you how long
it took me to figure that one out :)

Hmmm I guess that wouldn't be true if you are using an old manual lens 
on the DSLR though.
