That sounds like a remarkable coincidence. Nope, but I dial in exposure manually or use exposure compensation to get the desired exposure. I rarely meter anything of 18% reflectivity, something I must do if I should just lock exposure, but assign whatever I meter to any tonality I desire, say, +1.
