>It's because K and M series are 2 different series,

Since there was a screw mount Pentax "K" before the K1000/KM/KX/K2, you
could say that the K itself is two different series...or one series that
really has no cohesive principle behind it. The MX shared nothing but the
lens mount with the ME/ME Super/MG/MV so there is no single "M series" from
any engineering standpoint. It's just marketing.

>while the LX is seperated from any series as we know.

As is the MX in any respect beyond nomencalture (see above).

>I guess Pentax use the 'X' on their best body of the line (like SFX
>(SF1 in US)). But this notation has changed since the P/PZ series
>(Z-1/PZ-1). So what does the 'S' mean on the MZ-S?

Some have speculated that it is "Super", as in "ME Super" but it's only
speculation.

>Only time will tell.

I'm really looking forward to a camera made with the Limited lenses in mind.
I think Pentax would be crazy *not* to try to take advantage of the LX mistique
when they name it. Yeah, it'll just be marketing as far as the LX name is
concerned, but I bet it's going to be a great camera and that's what's important.
