I already own the 16-45/4.0, so I'm looking for something longer. I find the 16-45 to be my normal every day lens, and liked the 28-70 as a slightly longer lens for events (weddings, etc). I don't shoot people that often, so the 28-70/4.0 didn't get tons of use, but it got enough to justify replacing it. alex
