For the record, I have never had good, predictable results from any
Pentax TTL flash control.
I have also not used TTL from any other manufacturer, so I can't say
if Pentax is particularly bad in this area, or if TTL flash in
general is problematic.

Do you mean that unpredictable results were not due to the sensor's calibration for 18% reflectance (or, to put it differently, to the reflectance variability of your subject)?


With LX, I do get a bit of underexposured slides sometimes but we're talking about half a stop and this happens mostly when a face is set in the center and I forget to overexpose half a stop to compensate for the high reflectance of the face.
