I have some black foam board for the window and use David Chang-Sang;s
towel under the door(not his towel,just the trick<g>)
The board is not quite a perfect fit so i like to wait until its really dark out to do
anything,but i think
the best idea is to get some thick felt,curtain or something,and put over the board.
Change bag seems like a thing to have as a just incase thing.
