I can't imagine what Minolta might be having shipping problems with in terms of parts for lenses, that might also affect Pentax with dslr bodies.
Whatever, it may well be that a supplier of, say, digital sensors, is having supply problems. If they can only ship, for example, 50% of their orders, I guess they'd supply their largest customers first, leaving their smaller customers (Pentax, who still haven't shipped one single unit of their dslr) out of the picture until they can fill their backorders. One would think that with as many P&S digitals as Pentax has out, they'd have good relations with suppliers, wouldn't one? Whatever the case may be, I find it hard to believe that with millions of dslr's being made per year by the big boys, that Pentax can't find a supplier to meet their needs somewhere. It's a real credibility problem when Sigma and Fuji, and other smaller manufacturers have had a dslr on the market for some time. Look at the number of people on this list, many of them long-time Pentax users, who've jumped ship over the last year to buy someone else's dslr. Were I in the market, I don't think I'd bother waiting "a few more months" (and who knows how much longer than that) for a Pentax. Methinks they've really dropped the ball on this one... regards, frank Alan Chan wrote: > The new Minolta lenses have been delayed due to the shortage of parts too. > So I guess it's might actually be the case. > -- "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds.
