Christian,

I never mentioned throwing in the towel either.  I just said that due
to the crappy manua interface of the *ist, I would not purchase one.
The *ist D seems to have two dials much like the PZ-1p.  I can live
with that.  Since none of my lenses are older than A, I will be fine.
Cost will be an issue.

As to being a Pentax user, medium format is my main focus.  Pentax is
fine for me at the moment.
