I'm still not ready to throw in the towel. As I stated before, I can't wait to get my hands on a *ist-D to see what it's really all about. I have only 4 non-"A" lenses in 3 focal lengths so I'm not too worried about compatibility.
As far as Pentax releasing new lenses in FAJ mount, perhaps they will have a new FAJ* designation for the better quality ones. Look at the limiteds. Granted there is controversy surrounding their sharpness bokeh etc. but the build quality is fantastic compared to the plastic FAJ lenses I saw the other day. Still in the "wait and see" camp and still planning on buying the D.
