Not me.

To be pragmatic, every company's goal is not to dominate a market, but
to make money for it's owners. If one has a 5% market share and expand
it by 2.5%, that's a 50% increase which will do the company a lot of
good. I think the *ist siblings and the Optios will have what it takes
to do that for Pentax. The digital market seen as one, that is.

in fact, what would disappoint me was if Pentax suddenly decided to
compete head to head with Canon and Nikon for the big part of the pie.
That would most certainly break their back.

Someone mentioned in another thread that it's a trade-off of profit
against risk. Both those factors are relative to the company's size. A
big risk to a small company doesn't have to be more than a moderate
challenge to a big company. Given that Pentax has already had one
spectacular failure to establish themselves in DSLRs, it seems they
will do a nice recovery with the *ist.
